|William Alexander entered the world of graphic design after studies in fine art and design in Memphis, Chicago and Grand Rapids Michigan where he earned his BFA from Grand Valley State University.
After fifteen years of print and multi-media design for ad firms and publishing, Alexander decided it was time to create art that was “fine” rather than “corporate”.
He participated in local shows and competitions, where his work garnered the interest of serious art collectors. Alexander’s art has been featured in regional exhibitions at the Grand Rapids Art Museum, Kalamazoo Institute of Art and Muskegon Museum of Art along with numerous other prestigious galleries.
Alexander's work is included in corporate and private collections throughout the United States and around the world. Notable collectors range from Douglas Brendel, author, Glenn Rhan architect to Darlene Winter film producer.
Since 2002, William Alexander’s work has appeared in 52 signature exhibitions throughout the United States.
